Chirag-e-Dair is a poem by Mirza Ghalib, it means Light of the Temple
The Inaugural WE Illumination Award is conferred jointly on Sonali Pattnaik, Shweta Rao Garg, Usha Akella, Basudhara Roy Chatterjee, Mani Rao, Somrita Urni Ganguly.

WE are love and love is us...
And if you're here, you're made of love!
Look at the pathways we've trekked so far - through sublime green arches holding the promise of love, into vales of flowery dreams, over harsh boulders that diminish and steep slopes of erasures, we've seen vast green open spaces of affirmation and oneness, of camaraderie and creativity...
Hand in hand,
Acknowledging each other, rewarding our beautiful voices and walking together the trails where we've grown our own fragrant beauteous roses!
In our journey so far, WE have instituted seven major poetry awards recognising women's voices (2018, '20), three one-time special awards for women who inspire (2017), and a collection of very special recognition certificates for creative artists ('20). All this, since WE came into being in 2016.
